In recent years, trade relations between Vietnam and China have made substantial strides, contributing to the economic growth of both economies. China is now Vietnam's largest import market, while Vietnam ranks as China’s fourth-largest trading partner and ASEAN’s most prominent contributor to China-ASEAN trade. Bilateral trade between Vietnam and China accounts for about 25% of China’s total trade within the ASEAN region.
As Vietnam's leading port operator and logistics provider, SNP processes over 55% of Vietnam’s import-export container market share through its port facilities. SNP has forged highly effective partnerships with major Chinese shipping and logistics companies, including Cosco, SITC, CU Lines, Shanghai Jinjiang, Hede, Sinotrans, Taicang, and Ningbo.
During the conference, delegates engaged in in-depth discussions on optimizing supply chains and enhancing trade as essential links in sustainable cooperation and trade connectivity between Vietnam and China. Proposed solutions included expanding port infrastructure, advancing digital technology applications, and shifting toward intelligent logistics models to meet the demands of an increasingly volatile global economy.
With the slogan “Collaborate for Sustainable Development,” SNP has demonstrated a commitment not only to enhancing service quality and capacity but also to advancing green solutions that mitigate environmental impacts. This commitment is encapsulated in the motto “Come to Saigon Newport, come to the best quality services.” SNP aims to establish long-term cooperative relationships with Chinese partners, not only in economic sectors but also in advancing green solutions, reducing environmental impacts, and working together toward sustainable development goals.
