The APSN Hosted Its First President Meeting in 2022

The First APSN President Meeting in 2022 was held virtually on April 27, 2022. Mr. Marc-Yves Bertin, President of the APSN Council, Mr. Tan Cheng Peng, First Vice President of the APSN Council, Capt. Mohamad Halim Ahmed, Second Vice President of the APSN Council, Mr. Bui Van Quy, Chair of the APSN Advisory Board, Dr. Geraldine Knatz, Mr. Fei Weijun, Mr. Tim Meisner, the APSN Senior Consultant Team, and the Secretariat were in attendance. The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) delegation led by Mr. Hector E. Miole, Assistant General Manager for Operations, also attended the meeting.

 

The President Meeting was chaired by Mr. Marc-Yves Bertin, President of the APSN Council. The meeting had extensive discussions on the planning and preparatory work of the APSN events 2022, including the APSN Forum 2022, the 14th Meeting of the APSN Council, and the 11th Meeting of the Advisory Board. The 1st President Meeting also discussed other key actions of the APSN Action Plan for 2022, including the GPAS 2022, Update on the APEC Port Study Center, as well as planning for the 2nd President Meeting in 2022.

 

The meeting decided to hold the APSN Forum on Safe and Inclusive Pandemic Recovery of the APEC Port Industry in a hybrid format on October 18-19, 2022. The APSN Forum 2022 will be co-hosted by the Philippine Ports Authority, and all APSN Members and APEC port and port-related stakeholders are welcome to join the APSN Forum 2022. The 14th Meeting of the APSN Council will be held on November 22, 2022 virtually; and the 11th Meeting of the APSN Advisory Board will be held on August 16, 2022 virtually.

 

The APSN President Team expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Philippines for hosing the APSN events 2022 and to the Secretariat for its excellent preparation for organizing the President Meeting. The 2nd President Meeting in 2022 will be held on September 27, 2022.
