Approved by APSN Council, the APEC Port Study Center was established in November 2018. The mission of the Study Center is to enhance the services and products provided to all APSN Members, and APEC port and related industries.
The Study Center, operationally as an independent non-profit entity, is established under the auspices of the APSN Secretariat and functions as a sub-organization. Guided by its mission, the Study Center is responsible for overseeing and conducting the programs of research, studies and projects, which are approved by the Council, in support of the APSN Five Year Strategic Plan and Annual Action Plans. Proposals for research, studies and projects can be submitted by the Secretariat, any Council member or organizations/enterprises/institutions that are non-APSN members, as long as such proposals contribute to the APSN objectives.
