The 34th APEC Transportation Working Group Meeting (TPT-WG 34) was held on June 12-17, 2011 in Brisbane, Australia. The APSN Delegation, composed by Mr. Jerry Rysanek, President of the APSN Council, and Mr. Fei Weijun, Secretary-General of APSN and Ms. Ma Yanyan, Executive Assistant to Secretary-General, attended the meeting. At the Opening Plenary of the meeting, the APSN reported to TPT-WG on the work that has been done during the past twelve months. TPT-WG noted with great satisfaction with the significant progress made by the APSN and encouraged those APEC member economies who have not joined APSN to participate as Council Members.
An APSN dinner was hosted on June 12, 2011, and Ms. Arlene Turner, TPT-WG Lead Shepherd, Heads of Delegations of APEC member economies to TPT-WG 34, APSN Council Members who attended the TPT-WG 34, as well as representatives from APEC and the Australian host attended the dinner. The APSN delegation thanked the APEC member economies for the support for the work of the APSN since 2008 and welcomed APEC member economies to actively participate in the future APSN activities, such as the upcoming APSN Workshop on Green Ports to be scheduled on September 19, 2011 in San Francisco, USA.
